Before you install

Measured traffic, with limits

This extension uses Firefox’s request counters. It is useful for finding busy websites, but it is not an exact match for Windows or your internet bill. Browser-internal traffic, WebRTC, and ongoing WebSocket messages are not included.

Full uBlock Origin can prevent measurement

In our Firefox testing, full uBlock Origin caused requests to appear with zero byte counters. If you use it, the extension may undercount severely. This limitation is not fixed by changing installation order.

Installing and getting updates

Open the download link in Firefox and approve the installation. If Firefox downloads the XPI instead, open Add-ons and themes, choose the gear menu, then Install Add-on From File.

Update-enabled releases point Firefox to this site’s update feed. Future releases still require Mozilla signing. Firefox checks for updates periodically; updates are not instant and depend on your add-on update settings.
